How do migraines impact your life?
Migraines can cause severe pain for hours or even days. Pain as well as other symptoms, such as nausea and sensitivity to light and sound, may mean that you miss out on many of life’s activities. Work, school, or family activities may all be put on hold while you wait to feel better.
In fact, in a study by the National Headache Foundation of over 160,000 adults, 9 out of 10 migraine sufferers reported they can’t "function normally" on days when they have a migraine.
According to a survey of nearly 19,000 migraine sufferers, over a 3-month period*:
- 35% of patients had at least 1 day of activity restriction related to migraine
- 29% missed a family or social activity
